Myanmar is one of the largest and poorest countries in South-East Asia.  While it has begun a journey of political reform beginning with the election of a democratic government in 2011, the country requires significant investment in capacity and infrastructure in order to continue on the path of economic development.

International Skills and Training Institute in Health

The International Skills and Training Institute in Health (ISTIH) is a partnership between UWA and the Western Australian Health Department that leverages significant medical expertise in Western Australia to facilitate aid and develop health-training initiatives in developing countries.

UWA Woodside Energy post-graduate scholarship

A post-graduate capacity building scholarship will be offered to a citizen of Myanmar to study at UWA, jointly funding by the University and Woodside Energy.
